At SCHLEGEL, we are all very excited to start of the auction with the fourth edition of our EXKLUSIVITÄTEN DER PHILATELIE. Once again, we are delighted to offer you a phenomenal assembly of 111 precious philatelic items like e.g. the inverted issues of the 10 and 20 Pf China handstamps, the previously unknown and very fine so called "Damen-Galerie von Berlin" with all values (Lots 75 and 76) and the legendary block of eleven 1 Sh green (octagonal cut).

Our second special catalogue "The Flying Cigars - History of Airships" (Lots 200-893) combines the unique and wide ranging airship pioneer John Mattler collection with a large offer Zeppelin post with VERTRAGSTAATENPOST Luxembourg with many forerunners and also a beautiful offer VERTRAGSTAATENPOST Switzerland to North and South America.

Finally, our third special catalogue "Bautenserie 1948 - Die Sammlung Horst Nöbbe" (Lots 1000-1999) presents rare single values, tariffs, single and multiple frankings of this collection field.

Please look at our collection and estate section in our main catalog: This section will start off with part one of the collections of French entrepreneur and football enthusiast and club owner Louis Nicollin. Given the large size of the collection we will offer Nicolin’s collection in three auctions, starting this auction with the thematic and sports part of the collection. The catalogue also highlights a major section of specialties Germany after 1945 (e.g. Lots 10113, 10158 and 9984) as well as Bulgaria (Lots 98, 4641, 4752), including many items that should draw the attention of many specialists in this field.

In our beloved coin section there is a particularly strong section of gold coins with many rare items of the German Reich (Lots 6191, 6389, 6390 and 6521).
