In the cover section there is a #16 XF on cover to California. A Pearl Harbor cover dated 8 Dec 1941 is very interesting. Our lot #36 is another group of Pearl Harbor covers. There is also a beautiful collection of USS Argonaut covers with pictures and annotations. A submarine cover collection with different handpainted by Gow NG is one of the best we have seen. This sale offers many lovely items from the properties of over 75 different owners and estates, some who have been customers for over 60 years. Many of the lovely items in the sale were previously bought from our auctions including some from better names sales we have had over the years, including the Bill Simpson Small Queens. Some of the items from Mr. Paul Barker, who exhibited in the 1996 CAPEX Court of Honour, and had items featured in the Gems of Canadian Philately Handbook by Charles Firby. Day One will start with Canada collections and large lots. A large Canadian Postal History section including the wonderful collection specializing in Ontario County collection of split ring town cancels. This will be the first half of the collection, Algoma District to Lincoln County including Northern Ontario, with many on covers with the earliest recorded (ERD) or the latest recorded (LRD) dates.
