1932, Moscow Philatelic Exhibition, 15 K. black-brown and 35 K. ultramarine, two copies each arranged in a block of four on cardboard paper 169 : 118 mm, here with additional two-line overprint in the upper edge of the block: лутчему ударнику / Всеросийског обшества филателистов (Best Activist / All-Russian Philatelic Society). In an edition of only 25 copies, particularly important participants in the exhibition and three party members were honoured....Start Bid €70000

Worldwide Public Auction - November 29-30, 2024

As a special introduction, Auction Galleries Hamburg will present in its November auction 140 lots from the large Russia / Soviet Union collection of a dedicated philatelist. This stock focuses on the 1932 and 1933 All-Union stamp exhibitions in Moscow and Leningrad. Included is one of the greatest rarities of the Soviet Union: the so-called All-union souvenir sheet with special overprint for the ‘best activists’ of the Moscow exhibition. Of the 25 pieces in this edition, only 15 survived the war, and the souvenir sheet offered by AGH is one of the best-preserved pieces.
