Lot 314 - 2½d indigo Die II Plate 2 (lower) with Missing '1' in Fraction [Pos 2L33] ACSC 11b(2)j (SG O44a), a couple of slightly uneven perfs, Sydney 1920 machine cancel clear of the variety, Cat $37,500 in footnote 5 (£38,000). Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2014). Ex 'Lionhart': sold at our auction of 2.5.2014 for $15,525 (Sale 189 Lot 13). A very fine example of this iconic rarity. Australia features Colonies through essays for the first Commonwealth issue to Decimal missing colours & perforation errors, plus the balance of Andrew Johnston’s extensive KGV Heads collections. Pacific Islands feature GRI Overprints including rare errors, Nauru, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand.
