tied by Wentworth (NSW) cds, boxed 'T ("33")' cachet & largely very fine strike of the scarce 'GPO KUCHING/To pay ("33") cents.' handstamp both in violet, a couple of minor blemishes & a little roughly opened on the reverse. The rate was 1/- per ½oz,

1965 to 1975 Vietnam War Military Mail accumulation from 1965 airmail to Canberra with QEII 3d green pair tied 'AUST F.P.O/2' cds
used at Ubon, Thailand (scarce; very short period before Decimals were introduced), Decimals usages for letter rates until free postage concession introduced in 1970, then later usages for registration, parcel & official rates plus mail to
non-Australian destinations (which were not covered by the concession) with various issues including Birds 30c Ibis and Navigators 50c 75c & $1, a wide variety of Unit cachets & endorsements, concession & 'Postage Paid' markings, illustrated
envelopes including US types, a few 'Hubba Hubba'-type handstamps, naval mail from HMAS 'Hobart' & HMAS 'Perth', RAAF mail from Butterworth with Hong Kong QEII $1.30 or British FPO '948' cds and from Paya Lebar Airport with Singapore 10c Dancer, Post
Office forms, etc, condition a little variable but mostly fine to very fine. Plus files of research papers including copies of PMG's Department memoranda including re the establishment of a PO at Butterworth Air Base (Malaya), drafts of Phil Collas'
articles on the subject including locations of POs and postal rates, etc. An exceptional lot, which deserves to be developed into an exhibit and potentially a book. Ex Rod Perry's Woodchip-Free Zone.
