 Lakatois varieties accumulation mostly annotated on Hagners predominantly mint ranging from Small 'PAPUA' Lithographs 2½d Perf 11
Thin 'd' at Left x2, 4d Deformed 'd' at Left & Broken '4', and 6d Cross on Hill, through White Leaves, Unshaded Leaves, Rift in Clouds, Pole to Sale, and more 'spicks & specks', noted BNG 2/6d (one toned perf), Large 'Papua' overprint 2/6d x2 (one no
gum), Monocolours ½d horizontal pair with Double Perforations Between, 'AIR MAIL' overprint 3d horizontal pair with Double Perforations Between, plenty of multiples including Bicolours 2/6d 'OS' overprint block of 4 the lower-left unit with Deformed
'2' of '2/6d' (minor tonespots), 'TWO PENCE' on 1½d block of 10 with 'POSTACE' variety, also imprints, monograms, etc, condition variable but many are fine to very fine, substantial catalogue value. An excellent opportunity for further study.

 1901-05 British New Guinea ½d to 1/- matching set of corner blocks of 4 [21-22] from the lower-right of the imperforate imprimatur
sheets of 30 (5x6) on ungummed horizontal-watermarked wove paper, margins large to enormous, each endorsed or handstamped at lower-right with dates between 17.9.1901 & 29.9.1901, 2½ to 3 months after the stamps were issued on 1.7.1901, some mostly
minor blemishes/soiling largely confined to the reverse excepting the ½d & 1d which are noticeably soiled.
Believed to be the only surviving set of blocks. The complete sheets are illustrated in 'The De La Rue Collection: Volume 2', edited by Frank Walton, between pages 2392 & 2404. Note that the 2/6d, issued in 1905, does not exist in this format. Absent
from 'Besancon'. Tim Rybak's and Peter Troy's sets of pairs sold for $4830 (2008) & $4895 (2009) respectively.

 1901-05 British New Guinea Rosettes Watermark Horizontal Thick Paper Line Perf 14 ½d to 1/- SG 1-7 blocks of 4, the 2d & 1/- in
corner blocks, the others all marginal, all but the ½d with Printers' Guideline Crosses in the margins, most are quite well-centred with the lower units unmounted, a few with small hinge remainders, one 2d unit with a small aging mark on the gum
otherwise generally very fine, plus Watermark Vertical Thick Paper Comb Perf 14 1d black & carmine SG 10 marginal block of 4, unmounted but with some gum tropicalisation, Cat £1400+ for mounted singles. Peter Troy's set of non-marginal blocks of 4 to
the 1/- sold in 2009 for $1323.
