1938 (Sep 30) social cover endorsed "Sender: Henry Kuper/Santa-Anna/..." to New York with KGV 1½d red x2 tied by Tulagi cds.
German-born Heinrich Kuper arrived in the Solomons in 1912 but, surprisingly, was not interned during either World War. He married a native woman: during WWII, one of their sons was a Coastwatcher and another served in the Australian Army. (Image1) (Image2)
