 1907 Small 'Papua' Overprint Rosettes Watermark Vertical Thin Paper Comb Perf 14 6d black & myrtle-green with the Overprint Double
SG 43a marginal horizontal pair from the left-hand side of the sheet, both overprints on the left-hand unit with Inverted 'd' for second 'p' in 'Papua' [Pos 21] and on the right-hand unit with Dropped 'pua' [Pos 22], very fresh, lightly mounted, Cat

 1907 Small 'Papua' Overprints Wmk Vertical 1/- black & orange with Overprint Double One Diagonally SG 44ba corner block of 4 from
the lower-left of the sheet, the upper-left unit also with Inverted 'd' for 'p' on both impressions, generally strong colour with just hints of oxidisation, light Port Moresby cds of 10JAN08, Cat £56,000+, for singles plus a significant premium for
the 'd' for 'p' variety (which is unique). Ex William Frazer and 'Tatiana': sold at a Swiss auction house in 2015 for £38,400. David Brandon Certificate (2003).
Only 24 stamps from one sheet of 30 (5x6) were affected by the double overprint, of which five remained uncancelled. Of the 19 cancelled stamps, this is the only block in existence. As can be seen from our illustration, each unit has a differing

small-part Port Moresby 1910 cds corner cancel, Cat £11,000. A very rare stamp: better-centred than Tim Rybak's used single that sold in 2008 for $7475; Peter Troy's re-joined pair - from the same block as Rybak's single - sold in 2009 for $13,225
(when catalogued at £6,000). This is the upper-right stamp from that same block of 4 (copy of the BPA Certificate (1976) for the block of 4 that accompanied the Peter Troy pair included). Submitted to Chris Ceremuga for expertising. (Image1) (Image2)

 1907-10 Small 'PAPUA' Lithographs Crown/Double-Lined 'A' Watermark Upright Perf 11 2½d black & bright ultramarine SG 51 marginal
block of 4 from the lower-right corner of the sheet with Watermark Reversed (Double-Line of 'A' at Right) and Printers Guideline Cross in the margin, quite well-centred, some tone spotting affecting all units most evident on the top perfs of the
upper-right unit (which would benefit from having the gum removed), unmounted. Unlisted by Gibbons. Croaker states (page 17) that "I have a single copy ... of this extremely rare variety. Probably only one sheet was so printed. The watermark on it is
upright". Peter Troy's very fine marginal vertical pair from the base of the sheet - similarly-centred & probably the two units immediately to the left of this block - sold in 2009 for $1610. (Image1) (Image2)
