the base of the lower units, very fresh, the upper units well-centred, the lower units centred left due to mis-aligned strikes of the comb perforator, the right-hand units with a couple of slightly uneven perfs at right, the upper-left unit very
lightly mounted, the others unmounted (that is, the right-hand block of 4 is unmounted), unpriced unmounted, Cat $8725+ for a mounted block of 4 plus one mounted & one unmounted single. The ACSC states "multiples are rare ... at present a block of 8
and eight blocks of 4 can be recorded" [our emphasis], this piece apparently being an additional unrecorded multiple. The last block of 4 we offered - also unmounted - sold more than 20 years ago in our Second International Rarities Auction on
