1.6.1912 [Timber Mill; 5km SSW of Manjimup]. The datestamp had already been engraved, and was used briefly as a relief cds until the correctly-inscribed datestamp was received, which is known used from 1.7.1912. The only recorded example. (Image1) (Image2)

straight-line handstamp at lower-left on unfranked Commonwealth Savings Bank OHMS envelope to Bussleton, a couple of very minor edge faults hardly detract. PO 1.5.1953; closed 4.2.1955 [Oil refinery; 6km NE of Rockingham]. A previously unrecorded
allocation. PMI records the use of this Relief cds from 1922 to 1933 only: this is 20 years later. The permanent cds is recorded used for three months only, from May to August 1954: see the next two lots. (Image1) (Image2)

4.2.1955 [Oil refinery; 6km NE of Rockingham]. PMI records May-July 1954 dates only. A similar strike sold at a Perth auction in 2021 for $196. Plus blank blue R label with 'KWINANA REFINERY CAMP' handstamp in violet and four photographs of the wreck
of the 'Kwinana' ship, after which the town was named.
