Kokoda x8, Woodlarks x16 & Nivani (40% strike; rated G), many very fine strikes. Ex Ray Kelly, with his notes, sold at our auction of 24.6.2006 for $390. Also 'BNG' with Sperati Forgery backstamp, '____/BRITISH NEW GUINEA' ('BONAGAI' removed, two
strikes on 1910 piece), 'NEPA' x2, 'BWAGOIA' error x4, 'HISIU', 1902 'SAMARAI' in violet, 'KANOSIA' x4, unframed 'TAMATA/BNG', 'KUMUSI' etc, some shipboard cancels & transit/arrival cancels including rare 'TPO No 7 S&W R/ QUEENSLAND', condition of

 Tamata: manuscript "Tamata/19-10-05" sideways on BNG 2d. Ex Ray Kelly & Tim Rybak: sold at our auction of 17.10.2008 for $299.
Illustrated by Hamilton Croaker in his postmarks monograph where he states "...I have no reason to believe it is otherwise than genuine" and notes it is the only such Papuan marking he has recorded: but see Lot 313399. Lee states that Ioma replaced

£50 in respect of which "...I have enclosed the gold and osmiridium in a small box...with a statement from Burns Philp & Co showing exactly how the fifty pounds were expended..." He also refers to "your successor", which confirms the addressee as Sir
