Garden City Philatelic Auctions Sale - 3

Public Auction - September 25-28, 2025

Welcome to Garden City Philatelic Auctions’ third sale, scheduled for September 25-28, 2025! The sale is being held in our offices in Victoria, British Columbia, as well as live online through StampAuctionNetwork. We are a traditional auction company, offering transparent in-person and online live bidding and a wide diversity of unreserved material, all starting at $50.

Apart from our usual offering of worldwide singles, sets, collections and postal history, this sale will feature:

  • A substantial Australia and States collection of town postmarks, from three different consignors, in many lots.
  • Many lots of early Australia and States collections, singles and sets.
  • An offering of early Canadian Steamship covers.
  • An extensive lifetime collection of early Nova Scotia and Halifax picture postcards.
  • The first part of an important offering of mostly pre-World War II picture postcards of the world in two sections: Canada picture postcards and Worldwide picture postcards.
  • An extensive collection of Guernsey and Jersey stamps and early postal history, with several rare essays, die proofs, plate proofs and errors.
  • The “Nancy” collection of mint Canada, with special emphasis on imperforate pairs and blocks, (several collected for sheet positions), and high value varieties.
The sale will be conducted over four days:
  • Thursday, September 25, 2025 starting at 08:00 am PST: Lots 1 to 500 (Canadian stamps to KGVI)
  • Friday, September 26, 2025 starting at 08:00 am PST: Lots 501 to 1006 (Canadian Stamps from QEII to end of WW singles and sets)
  • Saturday, September 27, 2025 starting at 08:00 am PST: Lots 1007 to 1407 (All postal history, postcards and literature)
  • Sunday, September 28, 2025 starting at 09:00 am PST: Lots 1408 to 1692 (Canada and worldwide stamp lots and collections)

All our lots are pictured online, and we offer on-site viewing before the sale, by appointment only. Our auction is conducted in Canadian dollars, with a competitive 17% buyers’ fee. Registered users can place bids in advance of the sale by email, telephone or entering them directly in StampAuctionNetwork (recommended). Bidding can also be done live, during the sale either by telephone, live online on SAN with audio, via an agent, or in person in our premises.
