Collection of Mint and Used in a Scott Specialty Album, 1859 to 1995, all stamps are neatly displayed in black mounts, and is a mix of mint and used up to 1950, then mint only to the end, with a mix of hinged and never hinged at first, turning into never hinged only from about 1950 to the end. Starts with basic sets of Cents and Large Queens, Small Queens include early printings, Jubilees are mint or used to the 50c, and then very close to complete to the very end, including coil singles, se-tenant multiples, souvenir sheets, a few booklets and/or panes, etc., with no back of the book present. Some of the very early stamps have trimmed perfs, or small thins or have no gum, but the majority are fine to very fine, with a very high catalogue value. See photos for a small sampling. Collection of Mostly Mint Canada, 1868 to 1975, in black mounts in an album, starts with a basic set of used Large Queens, basic set of used Small Queens to the 50c (with shades, printings), eight different mint Jubilees to the 50c, complete mint Leafs and Numerals, complete used Edwards, then close to complete mint from the Québec Tercentenary to the end (missing only coils and a few others). Back of the book is represented by complete mint Air Mails and Special Delivery issues. A very clean collection, with better quality material than is often seen, noting many very fine centered stamps, with overall freshness. A quick spot check of the mint revealed a mix of hinged and never hinged at first, then becoming more never hinged in the 1930s to the end. Collection of Mint Hinged Canada, 1868-1951, all in black mounts on quadrille pages, a very clean collection including #s 21, 34-36, 41 (x2), a decent offering of Jubilees, with #s 50-54, 56 (x2), 57, 58, five Map stamps (with shades), a sprinkling of QV Leafs, Numerals and Edwards, complete Québec Tercentenary set (incl. a very fine 20c), a good selection of Admirals, with a 2c booklet pane, a few War Tax and some coils, and the rest is close to complete (notably missing the $1 Parliament), with many coil singles and booklet panes. Collection of Mint Never Hinged Canada in a Davo Hingeless Album, 1890s to 1953, the album has pages going to 1985 (incl. back of the book). The collection consists of 307 different never hinged stamps, with many complete sets and runs. We note ½c, 2c and 3c Small Queens, Jubilees to the 5c, almost complete Admirals with a good showing of coils and War Tax, Scroll complete to the 50c Bluenose, Arch complete except for missing 50c, complete Pictorials, War, Peace, complete Airmail, 4 diff. Special Delivery, a good showing of Postage Dues, OHMS and G overprinted Officials and more. Condition is very nice throughout and centering ranges from fine to very fine. Album pages have pencil valuations which were from the previous owner (small values are ours). A great start towards completion of a tough challenge. Valuable Holding of Mint Canada, Small Queens to KGVI Mufti, all in 26 stock cards. We note a wide variety of material incl. Small Queens (#37, 41, 42, 45, 46 (pair) and F1b), Jubilees (6c and 50c), Leafs (2c strip, 3c to 10c), Numerals (8 stamps, ½c to two 20c), Edwards (11 stamps from 1c to two 20c), Québecs (7c and 15c), lots of Admirals to the 50c (incl. coil singles and pairs, War Tax and coil blocks), various Scroll and Arch issues and so on to the Mufti issues. Noted a hinged 50c Bluenose, $1 Parliament, "Shilling Mark" 13c Yacht and back of the book, including CL50, 5 different Air Mails, 6 different Special Delivery and a pane of 8 different War Savings stamps. The gum ranges from fresh never hinged to no gum, and everything in-between, and faults (mostly thins) are to be expected on a few stamps. Two Stockbooks with Mint Canada Stock, the first has much valuable material up to the 1960s, incl. Jubilees, 1927 issues, several good Admirals (incl. War Tax), Arch and Scroll low denominations, KGV Pictorials, War and Peace issues to the $1, etc. Back of this stockbook has blocks of KGVI issues, including a plate block of 20 of the 14c Hydroelectric Station (VFNH, $171), followed by blocks of G overprinted stamps (all NH), a good showing of Airmail issues, same for Special Delivery and Dues, followed by OHMS and G overprinted singles, and more. A nice quality stock, with many very fine centered stamps, and a large sampling revealed most of the stamps to be hinged (mostly lightly so), with some never hinged (especially the blocks and some of the singles). Also comes with a second stockbook full of coil strips of four (KGVI to modern, with many Centennials), all appearing to be NH. Our many photos should give a good idea.
