128 E/P 36E imagec1891 2c Queen Victoria Engraved Essay in Deep Orange Red, on thin faint blue-green quadrilled paper, gummed over the printing, horizontal pair with full margins, left stamp with a hinge-sealed crack at top (these are prone to cracking due to the drying of the gummed surface and fragility of the thin paper), overall very fine and, despite the fault, about as nice as one can expect for this rare essay (with only one sheet of 25 reaching the philatelic market).
