The collection is close to complete from the 1930s to 1970, becoming mint only in that period. The Sri Lanka period starts off strong with #s 507-510 ($42), 510a ($62), and has its best representation in the 1979 to 1982 period, including several souvenir sheets and complete sets. The owner calculated the older value to be $750 for the used, $225 for the mint, plus about $100 for Danish West Indies. Looks line good quality material (a few faults only), with singles and sets cataloguing (at the time) between $1 and $50, on average. We checked current values for a few items which revealed higher values, such as #s 3 (used, was $50, now $60), 5 (used, was $55, now $67), 9 (used, was $55, now $67), 126 (used, was $20, now $22), 131 (used, was $40, now $65). 1559 O/og/nh   imageCollection of Mint and Used France, 1849-1971, in two Lighthouse binders with slipcases, neatly displayed on computer-generated pages following the Scott listings. A predominantly used collection with mint stamps sprinkled in here and there, including some never hinged (in black mounts), and many of the used have nice, clean c.d.s. cancels. About half of the collection is back of the book, with Semi-Postals, Airmails, Postage Dues, Military Franchise issues and more. We estimate the collection to be around 80% complete in period, and we note many better items throughout, such as early imperforates, the 1937 PEXIP souvenir sheet (mint, with wrinkles, $700), C15 (used, $310), C15 (used, $130), just to name a few, with most of the strength in the early issues and the semi-postals plus back of the book.
