1226 O   imageExtensive Calendar Collection of Australian Stamps, 1912-1939, in two stockbooks, covering the years 1912-1922 (about 2,000 stamps) in one, and 1930 to 1939 (about 3,000 stamps) in the other. Many of the stamps (specific days) are stacked with up to 5 or 6 copies of the same day. A useful collection for the town cancel collector as there is a great variety of those, even though not the best centered strikes (these were chosen more for the fully dated characteristics of the postmarks). 1231 O   imageRemainder Lot of Large Australian Town Postmark Collection, Roos to 1990s, with a few thousand town postmarks on stamp and on stamp on piece, all in about 90x 102 cards (identified), in manila pages, on 50 quadrille pages in a binder and in stockbook pages. A great opportunity for the large variety of towns present, but also includes ship cancels, army cancels, and a number of other specialized strikes. Postmarks include c.d.s. 1233 O   imageCollections of Roughly 2,344 Different Town Postmarks on King George V Stamps, all neatly displayed on Scott stock pages with town name and State. We counted the approximate number of different towns / stamps per State, with Tasmania (x330), Queensland (x204), Victoria (x290), Western Australia (x825), New South Wales (x325) and South Australia (x205). Also included is a collection of 165 different Queensland town postmarks on KGV stamps mounted alphabetically on 128 good quality pages, with a space for each town (see pictures), and last but not least are two pages containing 48 Kangaroo town postmarks (Tasmania, Queensland and Western Australia). 1234 CVR   imageDesirable Selection of 48 Better Covers Franked with Early Kangaroo Issues, virtually all commercial usages, a much better lot than average, each item bought one by one over the years. Many are marked "ex Nelson" with prices paid in the $50 to $300 range (over $2,000 for just 12 of the covers). We note denominations to the 2sh value, rates, postmarks, special handling, destinations (Canada, United States, England, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Germany, Hong Kong, South West Africa, Holland, India), a cover mailed to Charlie Chaplin, two Avis de Réception, a Customs form, some censored covers, registered, clipper mail, a 1914 cover to Germany opened by censor and returned to sender, postage due, and much more.
