794	/	17/64	1913-24 King George V Advanced Mint Collection, Wide Crown and Narrow A Watermark, mounted on 4 Lighthouse hingeless pages, with a total of 38 different mint stamps, either by shade, Die, printing, etc. We noted a 1½d with an inverted watermark (catalogued as a regular stamp but listed in SG at £55). Many of these shades are not listed in Scott, so were catalogued as the least expensive shade, so actual SG will be higher. The group contains 21 never hinged stamps (indicated on the pages) and is overall fine to very fine. All pages pictured online. A great collection for the specialist, overall fine to very fine with mostly clean postmarks. Includes a number of different watermarks (incl. inverted), Dies (includes multiples with Die I and II), S.G.-listed and non-listed plate varieties, shades, misperforated multiples, a private perfin, blocks of four, gutter imprint blocks of four, pairs, and more. Mix of used, mint hinged and mint never hinged. We catalogued about half of the items in S.G which came to over £2,000, which is a conservative number, not giving any premiums for plate imprints, multiples, and more, including all of the unlisted items, the misperforated items, etc. Overall fine or better, a great collection for the specialist, not often offered. Should easily be worth our low estimate, see photos for details on what is included.
