"Medal Flaw") in position 2/5, with John Ash imprint at lower left. The stamp in position 8/3 also shows a "slashed "d" of the surcharge variety (unlisted). 847 nh 197-199, 203-205 image1946-46 Two Complete Sets in Sheets of 30, the 1945 Duke and Dutchess of Gloucester, and the 1946 Sir Thomas Mitchell and Map of Queensland, both in complete sets of three values, all in mint never hinged sheets of 30. First set are all left panes with gutter line at right and imprint lower left, and the second set are all right panes with gutter line at left and imprint at left. All fresh and very fine. 848 nh 200 var, 203 var image1946 2½d Peace and Victory Issues Varieties, both mint never hinged, includes a very fine 1946 2½d carmine Peace issue unwatermarked (Scott 200 var), as well as a 1946 2½d dark carmine Sir Thomas Mitchell imperforate (plus watermark inverted) pair with sheet selvedge at right (right stamp has a rust spot at bottom). These curiosities are quite scarce and usually command high prices, and would make a nice collateral addition to any specialized collection.

850 nh 223A var image1949 ½d Orange Kangaroo, Unwatermarked, with "Sky Retouch", a mint never hinged sheet of 80 (right pane), clearly showing the constant plate variety in position 6/8 as well as the printer's imprint at lower left. We also noticed a flaw in position 9/4 "line to left of ear" (and probably others). Small tear in margin at top, still very fine and rarely offered, a great way to collect this variety.
