The Two Reference Manuals on Victoria Barred Numeral Cancels, includes the 1963 "Victoria: The Barred Numeral Cancellations 1856-1912" by J.R.W. Purves FRPSL, 213 pages (plus loose plates), hardbound, very fine, as well as the 2018 "Brusden White The Barred Numerals of Victoria" 484 pages spiral bound edition (with like-new dust jacket) by Hugh H. Freeman APR, fully illustrated in colour, with rarity ratings, etc. The ultimate publication on these fascinating postmarks, will illustrations showing on stamp, on piece and on cover / card, plus often showing the originating post office. The owner used this book to check mark (in pencil) all of the postmarks he owned (these, and many other Victoria barred numerals are offered separately in this sale, in our postal history section). Extensive Collection of Used Canada in 6 Darnell Albums with Slipcases, 1880s to 2022, starting with a few pages of Small Queens and RLS (with 20c, 50c, a few 1c precancels), a group of Jubilees to the 50c (8 diff. denominations), complete Leafs, Numerals to the 10c, Edwards to the 20c, complete Québec Tercentenary, complete regular Admirals, with lots of additional shades, some better precancels, War Tax, etc., complete Scroll issue, and so on. The collection is close to complete to the end (gets more or less weaker in the last 10 years), missing a few of the back of the book issues, but includes many extras such as used souvenir sheets, sheetlets, booklet panes, a few plate blocks (saw one signed by designer), se-tenant pairs and blocks, coil pairs, precancels, perforation varieties, and more. Saw two pages of private perfins, a page of OHMS perforated officials, a few pages of G and OHMS overprinted officials, some stationery cut-outs, 2 pages of revenues and a few BNA provinces items. Better Canada Used Stock in Three Boxes, with two red boxes and a white box, all full of glassines. One red box contains #s 143 to 2128 and includes many Arch, Scroll and other better stamps including high denominations, etc. The other red box contains only back of the book, with just about everything covered, including OHMS perfins and overprints, G overprints, Airmails and Special Delivery, Postage Dues, a glassine with probably 100 FWT7, etc. The white box contains glassines filled with #s 34 to 300, with each glassine indicating how many are inside, and we noted many Queen Victoria issues, Jubilees, Admirals, and on, with several better issues. Quantities range from 1 to about 100 and the quality appears to be fine or better, with a high catalogue value.

Mostly Mint Canada Collection in 5 Lindner Hingeless Albums, 1897 to 2008, starts off with a mix of mint and used to about 1952, followed by mint only (appears NH) from about 1953 to 2008. We note 1c to 3c Jubilees (mint), Edwards to the 20c (mint and used), complete Scroll (mint and used, incl. a VF used Bluenose), complete Arch (mint except for used 50c and $10) and so on, then basically complete until the very end, including se-tenant pairs, strips and blocks, sheetlets, coils and booklet singles, a few complete booklets, self-adhesives, and more.
