Sparks International Sale - 59

Stamps & Postal History of the World - November 19-20, 2026

Welcome to Sparks International’s Stamps & Postal History of the World, November 19–20, 2026. This sale brings together a diverse offering of British Commonwealth and worldwide material, with particular depth in Great Britain, France, and Germany & Colonies, complemented by notable selections from Asia and beyond.

Among the highlights is a postcard signed by Wilbur Wright during his 1908 European demonstration flights, and a remarkable group of West Indies pre-stamp letters including American Revolutionary War correspondence from Antigua, notably a 1780 letter from the Office for Prisoners of War.

Collectors of classic stamps will find much to consider, including a superb Penny Black "Too Late" cover, attractive German colonial issues, and specialised St. Helena material. Postal history is equally well represented, from Napoleonic military correspondence to extensive Japanese military postal-history collections, as well as further offerings of United States stampless mail, much with interesting historical contents.

A substantial range of country collections, specialised studies and worldwide accumulations conclude the sale, offering opportunities to begin a new collecting area, strengthen an established collection or enjoy further research.

Bids may be placed directly on our website at sparksinternational.ca. The sale can also be found on Philasearch and Stamp Auction Network.

We hope you find something of interest and wish you success in the sale.
