Sweden
LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
609   imageSweden, 1855/2013, extensive, quality mint collection in seven Lighthouse hingeless albums with slipcases, lightly hinged early issues, with mostly never hinged after 1940s, online photos show the first 60 years of issues and a mere sample after 1920s for this nearly-complete collection for the period, perhaps the most complete we have handled, with very high catalogue and face value. We note the frequent work of engraver Czeslaw Slania throughout the period of his craft and several better issues including King Oscar II of 1891-1904, the coil stamps of 1920-1925 and the UPU Congress of 1924. The collection is replete with se-tenant pairs and multiples from booklets, along with complete booklets, post office thematic packs and souvenir sheets, Europa issues and some used Official and Parcel Post stamps. A tremendous opportunity for a head start on a new collecting area, overall fine-very fine.
