Lot 3233 - Airmail Semi-Official, 1877, 5¢ Buffalo Balloon (Scott CL1), Schoendorf Type II, o.g., lightly hinged once at top center, huge margins all around and stunning bright blue color and a highly detailed impression, Extremely Fine PSE has only graded 2 examples of CL1, and the other is no gum 85, an absolutely fabulous stamp and unquestionably one of the finest examples extant, only 300 printed, 23 of which were used, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate graded XF 90.
