Stamps and Postal History of the World - June 18-19, 2026

We are delighted to present our June 18th–19th, 2026 auction of Stamps & Postal History of the World, the first catalogue to appear under our new name, Sparks International, a sale offering material of quality and diversity, with something to interest collectors across a broad range of specialties.

The sale is anchored by two distinguished single-owner collections: the 'Dubois' Collection of British North America Postal History and Part IV of the 'Simone' Collection of Canadian Revenues. Each is a remarkable offering in its particular field - to present both together in a single sale is a pleasure.

The 'Dubois' Collection offers an impressive range of early British North America postal history, including several covers of importance, among them one of the few known examples of mail from the Aroostook War, and the latest recorded example of the celebrated Red River manuscript cancel.

The 'Simone' Collection presents many elusive Canadian Revenue stamps, culminating in two great rarities: the finest known example of the $5 French War Savings stamp, and the unique example of the stamp on document, an exceptional opportunity for the collector seeking to build a Canadian Revenue collection of the highest calibre.

Canada and British North America are well represented across all areas, from classics to modern errors, including selections from the Ralph Trimble collection of re-entries and varieties. Newfoundland collectors will find several highlights, including both the rare 1919 Hawker Flight cover and a 1927 De Pinedo flight cover. The worldwide offering is broad and diverse, with particular strength in stampless mail, much of it carrying genuine historical content, alongside a delightful array of Swiss postal history to elusive destinations. Lots and collections are well represented throughout, with material to suit collectors at every level.
