Lot 877 - Federal Duck Stamp, 1934, $1 Mallards, "Ding"-signed stamp and personal letter (Scott RW1), discovered in the McDonald family's correspondence, a Very Fine never hinged single signed by the artist, with his May 14, 1938 handwritten letter from Des Moines which reads: "Dear Tom—On arriving home I found I had some extra first issue duck stamps and am sending one enclosed. We have very pleasant memories of our stay in Williamsburg and are only anxious to know how things turned out when....Estimate $5,000-7,500 Sold for US$ 6,250
