Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - May 15, 2024

Welcome to our May 15, 2024 auction. This is our 368th auction since we started running our sales back in 1972. We continue to offer our bidders a wide selection of worldwide material. Collectors and dealers alike will find our estimated values to be at very attractive levels (and in inexpensive Canadian Dollars). This sale has over 7,400 lots to choose from. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A terrific section of United States 2¢ Black Jack covers including advertising corner cards, and illustrated. Many of these covers have not been on the market in years.
  • Classic Canada with many scarcer items including an unused #13 with Certificate and a used #31 with Certificate.
  • Scarcer United States from the 19th and early 20th Centuries with many key items having Certificates.
  • Zeppelin covers from Germany and many other countries.
  • Extensive Canada Provinces and Newfoundland with many rarities, imperforate pairs, proofs and covers.
  • Over 1,400 larger lots from all kinds of countries. These include collections, accumulations, box lots and dealer stocks. There are lots of fresh new lots that have been processed over this past winter.
  • A good showing of Italy with many scarcer sets and singles and interesting postcards from the 1930's-40's.
  • A terrific array of worldwide covers and postal history from stampless up to modern, plus postcards.
  • Germany and related areas are well represented with better singles, sets, key items, and colonies.
  • An interesting section of coins including gold coins up to $20.

Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information displayed at Stamp Auction Network for our auction lots is now being updated. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #368 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, May 18th.
