Vance Auctions Ltd. Sale - 374

Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - May 14, 2025

Welcome to our May 14th, 2025 auction. This is our 374th Auction since we started running our sales back in 1972. Much has changed over the years, but we are continuing our tradition of offering our bidders a wide and varied selection of worldwide material. This sale has over 6,900 lots to choose from. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A great section of Germany and related areas including better singles and sets, Zeppelin and aviation covers/postcards, Concentration Camp mail, German Offices Abroad and postwar Zones plus Berlin.
  • Canada mint imperforates from the 1920's-40's including many scarcer pairs and blocks plus some rare Plate Blocks from the Confederation, Historical and KGVI Mufti series.
  • A nice section of Canada Revenues with many key items including scarce Law Stamps and a seldom seen WWI $5 War Savings stamp.
  • Many scarce French Colonial classics including items from places like Somali Coast, French Congo, Benin and Guadeloupe.
  • Good section of Gr. Britain from Penny Blacks to modern plus excellent postal history and postcards.
  • A fine section of Austria including a mint 1933 WIPA souvenir sheet and a set of mint 1946 Renner souvenir sheets.
  • A great selection of aviation postcards depicting pioneer aviators, dirigibles and balloons.
  • Hundreds of larger lots, collections and boxes full. If you are thinking of starting a new collecting area or expanding an existing collection this type of lot would be perfect.
  • Don't forget to visit our coins and paper money section (see Lots 6815-6875). There is also a spectacular holding of Canadian military memorabilia spanning both World Wars. These include medals, badges and insignia (see Lots 6801-6814).

Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information is updated at Stamp Auction Network. Bidding on items in the sale will continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #374 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, May 17th.

Good luck with your bids!
