The Aflred Kugel Collection - Part IV - September 10, 2025

Part four of the Alfred F. Kugel collection of Postal History of the world will be offered at our Teaneck, NJ galleries on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. This collection is being sold on behalf of the American Philatelic Society. We begin with United States Interventions, first in China, during the Boxer Uprising, then in Northern Mexico, U.S. Army and its Postal Service Abroad during WWII, U.S. Possessions, Intervention in Russia with many unique items). There are selections from the specialized collections of Albania, Bulgaria, Crete and others. An avid Military historian, Mr. Kugel assembled a splendid collection of the aftermath of the Great War, with Allied Occupation forces in Europe and the Middle East, following the fall of the Austro-Hungarian, German, Russian and Ottoman Empires. There are excellent selections from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
