Sparks Auctions Sale - 31
Sparks Auction #31 -
September 27-28, 2019
Welcome to our September 2019 Sale. Our May 2019 sale, including the
John Hillson and Andrew Liptak collections was a huge success, surpassing
by far our expectations. Our firm is constantly growing and gaining the
confidence of more and more new and repeat consignors and buyers, for which
we are greatly thankful, and we will soon be offering more single name
sales, which we think will interest many of our customers. Our business
model allows us to offer a great variety of material for all budgets and
collecting interests.
Our Canada and BNA section offers our usual great
variety of singles and sets, including part 1 of an old time holding of
early Canadian mint never hinged stamps, mostly in blocks and multiples.
This section also features the archives of Jean Morin, a stamp designer who
worked on many Canadian stamps from 1973 to 1994, a large holding of early
plate proofs and much more. Session 1, Canada & British North America (Lots 1-488) -- Friday,
September 27th, 2019 9:00am EDT
Our British Commonwealth and Worldwide
singles and sets sections are some of the better we have offered recently,
again with a little something for everyone, including another installment
of the SPECIMEN perforated stamps of the 1930s, many good GB and United
States items, etc. Session 2, British Commonwealth (Lots 501-588) -- Friday, September
27th, 2019 2:00pm (immediately following Session 1) Session 3, Worldwide (Lots 601-748) -- Friday, September 27th, 2019
3:00pm (immediately following Session 2)
Our postal history section continues to be strong and
offers the best collection of Canadian First Flight covers we have ever
offered, with mostly better items and very few common $3 covers. Session 4, Postal History & Literature (Lots 801-1103) --
Saturday, September 28th, 2019 9:00am
Our very popular Canada and Worldwide lots and collections section is
rich with variety, with strong offerings of Germany, Great Britain, United
States and more, including some valuable collections sold intact
cataloguing from $50,000 to well over $100,000. Session 5, Lots & Collections (Lots 1201-1626) -- Saturday,
September 28th, 2019 1:00pm
Our sales are conducted in Canadian dollars, with a competitive buyer's
fee of 17%, and we always charge the actual shipping cost and not a "flat
fee." In our continued promise of transparency to our customers, all of the
reserved lots at Sparks Auctions are indicated with the letters "Rsv" at
the end of the description and start at the reserve price.
Happy bidding, and please contact us if you have any material to
consign!
