The lot contains at least three collections on pages, plus many stock pages, three different collector packs, a Harrods receipt with a 2d overprinted stamp, and much more. We catalogued less than half of the lot at $1,300, and estimate the uncatalogued portion to be twice, if not more that amount. Also includes a few articles on this fascinating issue. We counted 8x Penny Blacks and 1 Two Penny Blue (all with fewer than 4 margins), # 5, 6, 7 (all fine), 21x Seahorses, 5x #96, 2x #108 and 1x #109 and lots of plated surface printed issues. We also note hundreds of imperforate and perforated Penny Reds, unchecked by us for plates but do note many nice postmarks including 80 with Maltese Crosses, etc. A few faults on the early material and heavy cancels here and there, still a useful collection, worthy of a close look as there is lots of opportunity for finds here - see some representative scans online for an idea.
