1933 Balbo Flight Cover from Shediac NB to Rome, Italy, sent registered and addressed to Fred Jarrett in Rome, with three different Rome backstamp receivers (Aug 12 to 14). Returned to Canada via Montreal and the Ottawa Dead Letter Office to
Jarrett in Toronto. The cover is franked with a total of $3.30 (including three different $1 stamps) and has a "Canada Carbon Ribbon Co." corner card and a "Beaver Brand" illustration on back. Tiny bit grubby, still a very interesting and "busy"

1938 Edmonton to Aklavik Soviet Search Expedition First Non-Stop Flight, this flight was made after the unsuccessful completion of a search for lost Russian aviators over the Canadian Arctic. Cover is postmarked Edmonton Feb 16 and backstamped
Aklavik Feb 18 then re-postmarked Aklavik Mar 18 and backstamped Edmonton the same day. Signed by all the crew, including Sir Hubert Wilkins. Very few of these were carried, very fine. (Scan a)

to January 1940 First Arctic Experimental Mail Test of the North West Passage Route from East to West. Includes two covers, the first mailed at Lake Harrington on July 20, 1938 and the second at Craig Harbour on Aug 26, 1938. Both are certified
by R.W. Hale, the postal superintendent who was on the trips. Both covers have Eastern Arctic Mail Aug 31, 1938 Backstamps and Edmonton Jan 27, 1940 receiver datestamps. The Lake Harrington has 5 other signatures, including H. A. Brown, the pilot who
flew the mail from Copper Mine to Edmonton. Craig Harbour cover has tape stains. Also includes a Post Office bulletin for the trip which also has tape stains, minor tears, etc. Two seldom seen covers. (Scan a)
