David Lawrence Auctions ABNC Stamp Plate Collection: Buy It Now - September 15, 2020 The Continental Collection of American Bank Note Company (ABNC) Stamp Plates is a diverse offering of items from the archives of the ABNC. These plates represent the actual dies used to create the finished stamp, and in some cases, the trial designs that preceded them. With 19th and early 20th Century issues, this diverse group consists of plates and dies for stamps from the United States, South and Central America and a handful of European nations. The collection also contains engravings with intricate designs ranging from early airplanes, to beautiful churches and cathedrals, and fantastic American symbols like the Statue of Liberty. Acquired from the original purchasers of the ABNC archives, these plates were stored for a decade and are finally coming available for the first time. There are no duplicates and, to our knowledge, nothing else like this collection exists anywhere.

  • April 18th, 2016. Tour de Cure Charity Auction to Benefit the American Diabetes Association. Our 4th annual auction for diabetes was a record breaker! Thanks again to all our auction sponsors who made generous donations of stamps and covers for the auction, and to our collector friends who also made contributions. A special thanks to Daniel Kelleher LLC who at the last minute provided some excellent Asia material which was hotly contested.
