We are excited to bring highlights from this quality used collection of French Colonies. Assembled during many decades with an eye for sound used stamps, the collector sought to acquire the best possible stamp available to him at the time. We notice a particular interest in "France Libre" overprints and in postage due issues. in this sale a number of uncommon issues are to be found such an attractive run of Tahiti postage dues, the scarce "France Libre" overprints from French India and Madagascar, an extremely fine example of Guadeloupe, 1876, 40c black postage due, a range of issues from Nossi-Be, Obock and Somali Coast, further Cameroun and Senegal. In a future sale we will be offering many of the "long" sets which are such a challenge to complete, but are plentiful in this collection.
