Welcome to our July 17, 2024 auction with over 7,400 lots to choose from. Much great material has come into our offices over the past few months and is included in this sale. Here are some of the highlights:
A further group of 19th Century United States 2¢ Black Jack covers. This section (see lots 4232-4307) includes mixed frankings, multiples, auxilliary markings and foreign destinations.
In depth Canada from classic Pence issues up to modern varieties and errors. The 1920's-40's has a particularly strong section of imperforate pairs including values up to 50¢ and $1. Only 75 or 100 exist of some of these imperforate
pairs.
A nice section of older Gr. Britain including 15 lots of Penny Blacks; scarce used and mint Victorian issues including a mint #57a; King Edward up to One Pound; a good section of Officials; and more.
Egypt including scarce mint 1956 Boy Scout souvenir sheets both perforted and imperforate.
Many Zeppelin covers and cards not only from Germany but many other countries as well.
A great section of Japan postcards from the 1910's-40's including colourful patriotics, naval items, and Russo-Japanese War items.
Extensive Germany including scarcer stamps, postal history, Third Reich postcards and Colonies.
Terrific section of Italy with better sets and singles, Aegean Islands and WWII postcards.
Interesting section of coins including many United States gold coins from $2.50 up to $20, plus Canada silver commemorative coins and more.
Hundreds of larger lots including estate balances, collections, box lots and dealer stocks.
Don't forget that there is No Buyer's Fee at Vance Auctions and bidding is in inexpensive Canadian dollars. There is no extra charge for credit card use. Bidding information is updated at Stamp Auction Network. Bidding on items in the sale will
continue until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Please note that bids come in from many sources in addition to SAN (including e-mail, telephone, fax, mail, and our own web site). Even if your bid is 'green' at SAN when bidding ends, you could still be outbid. If your bid turns 'red' after
Midnight on the last night of bidding, it means that a higher bid was received from another source before Midnight. Auction results for Sale #369 will be posted at www.vanceauctions.com on the evening of Saturday, July 20th.
