Cover carried by messenger to "His Excellency / The American Minister, Lowndes Square" from PRINCE GEORGE, DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE. Contents - letter sheet with printed blue heading "Gloucester House, Park Lane" dated 17 Nov 1887 & SIGNED "George". Also incl some signatures on piece. Relate the attack of "HMS Vindictive" & other ships to attempt to block the harbour at Zeebrugge, Belgium which was being used as a German submarine base at the time.
