SPINK is pleased to announce our May 5-6 Important Stamps of The World Sale to be held at The Royal Philatelic Society, London. Featuring over 1000 lots the sale encompasses outstanding items from many areas including, Australian Colonies, Barbados, Egypt, Southern Rhodesia and South West Africa to name just a few. Highlights:
  • Lot 847: Southern Rhodesia. 1937 King George VI Definitive Issue.
  • Lot 234: Western Australia. 1864-79 CC 4d. carmine, error printed double, fine unused with part original gum.
  • Lot 842: Sarawak. 1923 (Jan.) Second printing, "one/cent" on bright blue lower right corner block of four with plate number, the upper left stamp showing "en" of "cent" scratched out and "ne" overprinted, fine mint.
  • Lot 1075: Trinidad. 1859 (Sept.) compound pin-perf. 13½-14 x 12½ (1d.) carmine-lake with complete perforations on two sides. A magnificent and unique franking of the utmost importance.
