2491 ogbl ImageCOLOMBIA, Antioquia, 1888, 2-1/2c and 5c Black on Yellow Medellin Provisionals, Se-tenant Complete Sheetlet of Eight, Setting II (69, 70). Without gum as issued, top six stamps are the 5c value, while bottom two stamps are the 2-1/2c values, wide sheet margins on all four sides, interesting offset of another sheetlet on reverse, top pair with light horizontal crease, second row with hinge thin, Very Fine appearance, this sheetlet and the strip in the next lot are the only recorded se-tenant multiples of Setting II and are among a small population of only five se-tenant multiples known of either Setting (Image)

2496 TC COLOMBIA, Antioquia, 1889-1890, 1c-10c Bogota Eagle Coat of Arms Imperforate and Perforated Color Trials (73-76). A marvelous assemblage of color trials on various colored papers, incl. yellow, pink and green, 25 pieces in all ranging from single examples to multiples up to two half sheets of 50 each, involving 346 proofs in all, all four values represented, both imperforate and perforated, many of the multiples are identified as the largest recorded, a mixture of both gummed and no gum, an occasional small flaw but overall Very Fine, a scarce and attractive display, Scans of the entire collection (2.6mb) can be found at http://www.siegelauctions.com/2014/1086/pdf/2496.pdf
