Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
4909 og,O   GERMANY STOCK.An impressive range housed in 17 substantial stockbooks, virtually all well filled with reasonable quantities throughout, often parallel mint and used, well ordered and by Michel numbering. It is quite clear that the retail potential runs into tens of thousands of dollars and it is a turn-key stock. Although material starts from the 19th century, it is primarily a 20th century stock and well balanced. Highlights include a particularly interesting range of East Germany back of the book, particularly the officials with the different types, papers and errors well worth investigating. Also a good representation of West Germany including lots of mint from the late 1940s onwards and also very good postally used material, again from the good period the late 1940s/early 1950s, overall with huge retail potential easily running into tens of thousands of dollars. That potential basically is the theme running through this entire holding, needs to be put to work!
