There are many surprises here with highlights including 40pf surcharge on 20cts brown sower mint with most of "EM" in "Memel" missing, 3mk on 2fr very attractive single usage on cover, 10mk on 5fr blue and bister with plattenfehler (Mi#32I) used, 1921 60pf on 40pf on 20cts sower with bar broken at top right (Mi#35III) used on piece and two further wing margin examples mint never hinged (total cat. &euro,610). Then the first airposts with 60pf on 40cts without dot in "T" mint never hinged (Mi#40Iy), leading on to the Klaipeda issues with scholarly categorization of the overprints with good combinations noted, for example the 10cts on 400m brown used with "1" of type III and "0" of type VI (Mi#181IV, cat. &euro,360), the 1L on 1000m with type VI "1" used (Mi#182VI, cat. &euro,315), etc. Then the 1923 surcharges on lighthouse series complete mint never hinged (Mi#193/205, cat. &euro,400), followed by the 1923 "centai" surcharges on white knight issues, again distinguished by numeral types and almost all with signatures, including the 30cts on 10m brown with type III used, signed (Mi#222III, cat. &euro,500), 15cts on 100m on 25cts mint (Mi#231III, cat. &euro,300), marine emblems surcharges type I complete mint inc. 25cts on 100m mint never hinged and signed (Mi#234I/237I, cat. &euro,1,020), etc, etc. Much of this collection is cram-packed on the pages and there will be much more to discover when viewed carefully. The collection is virtually all used in the ,19th and then all mint in the 20th, including a mint block of 20 of the scarce 35 fil instead of 50 fil mint never hinged from the 1900/1904 definitive series. All the good items you can think of are here including the  ,Madonna to 10p mint 1932, as well as all the other good series of the 1930s including the 1934 miniature sheets. Other highlights in this very well filled volume including 1949 UPU complete booklet, as well as the m/s never hinged and again superb used, followed by the ,80th anniversary of Hungary first postage stamp, perf and ,imperfs miniature sheets, the Roosevelt tete-beche in complete series of 4 as well as the regular memorial m/s, scarce perf and again imperf both mint never hinged. Other better items include the chain bridges m/s, in fact virtually everything you can think of here including back of the book virtually complete with the first and second Debrecen issues, a most impressive range including unlisted, followed by Temesvar and Transylvania again virtually complete, quite extraordinary in scope. 4952 og,O   HUNGARY 20th CENTURY COLLECTION WITH OCCUPATION ISSUES. ,A very attractive mint ,collection in 8 replete Schaubek albums, with hardly any empty spaces and appearing complete mint never hinged from about the 1920s onwards, including many imperfs. The collection starts off in 1913 with highlights including first and second semi-postal series complete mint (#B1/B17, B19/B34), then an excellent range of the ,Allied occupations overprints, including Arad with complete o/ps on parliament issues (#18/25), Debrecen #1 mint never hinged, 10f rose (Mi#18) and 6f postage due signed (Mi#5), Szeged virtually complete. There are also the issues starting in 1930, including the zeppelin overprints mint never hinged (#C24/C25), the 1933 propeller airposts complete mint never hinged (#C26/C34), 1932 Madonna series complete (#462/465), through the WWII o/ps, 1947 stamp day miniature sheet mint never hinged, the 1947 Roosevelt souvenir sheets mint never hinged, ,the scarce 1950 smiling boy type I again pristine mint never hinged (Mi#1104I, cat. &euro,800) and the scarce 1950 UPU souvenir sheets imperf and perf mint never hinged (Mi#Block18A/B, cat. &euro,1150), etc. Then follows the extensive showing of the imperf mint series, running from about 1941 onwards, again appearing virtually complete mint never hinged from the 50s to the mid-1970s including scarce se-tenant strips and "kleinbogen", for example the 1959 stamp day pair mint never hinged (Mi#1627B), 1960 FIP congress souvenir sheet (Mi#Block 31B), 1961 exhibition souvenir sheets complete (Mi#1765A/1768A), etc, etc. What we can see in Michel on the imperforates alone cats in the order of &euro,20,000 (approx. $25,000 at the time of going to press), notwithstanding the back of the book, occupations etc, that will add up quickly as well in Scott. 4953 og,O   HUNGARY HOARD.An intriguing holding of Hungary, consisting of 7 large volumes, mint and used, occasionally chaotic in presentation, yet well worth working through with plenty of good items to find. The 2 best albums are old fashioned Borek albums, both well filled with very few empty spaces, including better miniature sheets such as the Budapest perf series of 3, as well as parallel mint and used bridges of 1949, also the 1956 costume miniature sheet on registered cover and much much more, all one of a kind, including back of the book. The other five volumes not as strong however we did note better material, for example very modern mint miniature sheets  ,from the 1990s onwards, accompanied by lots of good mint series, both definitives as well as commemoratives with many 100s of these with a tremendous range of themes, virtually all one of a kind. Also, seen sheetlets/se-tenants, again with much emphasis from the 1990s. The airmail book is also well filled, ending with lots of back of the book including non-Scott listed. As well as volumes dedicated to the 1960s and 1970s, there is another with 19th century onwards, laden with lots of miniature sheets at the side and back of the book to late 20th century. A considerable accumulation that will delight anyone interested in Hungary. 1,400-2,000
