5723 EPH,   imageEXTRAORDINARY PERSIAN LIONS COLLECTION, WITH REFERENCE ITEMS.

A very specialised collection beginning with the 1885 first Paris reprints with over 140 stamps organized by denomination and written-up on exhibition pages. The study begins with the 1 chahi black in gray black and deep black shades imperf and perf, followed by the imperf 1 kran carmine on yellowish paper inc. full sheet of 10, then the perf 4k canary yellow with single and block of 8, 1k rose carmine imperf and dark carmine perf type inc. block of 8, 2 chahis black imperf inc. sheet of 10, 2 chahis dull blue perf in single, pair, block of 4 and block of 8, the 4 chahis orange brown perf with a single and pair and the 8 chahis green with sheet of 10. Then follow the high values inc. 5kr purple imperf and cds "used" perf example, 5kr gold inc. full sheet of 10 and the 1 toman gold with imperf single and perf strip of three. There is also an interesting range of further reference copies, postal stationery cut-outs etc. An expertly assembled collection of these seldom seen official reprints. This is a great opportunity for the specialist to acquire a reference collection including rare multiples, as well as even scarcer sheets that would be very difficult to replace today.

5730 nh   ISRAEL 1970s/90s NEW ISSUE ACCUMULATION.Many 1000s of mint never hinged tabbed stamps, mostly tab multiples, as well as souvenir sheets - substantially the latter years in a large quantity of glassines, as from a new issues service, requiring considerable work, notwithstanding that all the packing material i.e. brown envelopes large and small, cardboard interleaving, etc have all been jettisoned. This collector would have invested five figures here just as new issues. Apart from the tabs, a very good feature is the variety and huge range of different topical material. Noted for example are birds, sea life, art, mosaics, architecture, archaeology, railways, war planes, maps, animals, traditional costumes, music, WWII with Jewish brigade, etc, etc. Pristine quality throughout with much potential when broken down, please inspect.
