Many thousands, possibly tens of thousands of stamps mint and used, in two boxes, with much focus of course on the classics, representing the balance of reference material from H. E. Harris and Co. formerly of Boston, Massachusetts. Anybody who is interested in the serious study of reference should view this worldwide accumulation which has much genuine, as well as interesting forgeries, back of the book and fantasies, etc. Some are presented on old H. E. Harris cards differentiating original from reprints, making an easy comparison. Much is also housed in glassine envelopes, old album pages, stockcards, clearly waiting to be processed for further identification and research. Some of the countries seen include Great Britain, British Commonwealth inc. Malaya-Borneo o/ps, Straits Settlements, Newfoundland, Western Australia swans, etc, dangerous German and Italian States classic forgeries, particularly Lubeck and Bremen, etc, similarly the Swiss cantonal classics, Alsace-Lorraine, Romania imperfs, Greece with a series of cards of genuine large Hermes heads imperfs, Turkey, Netherlands Indies, Mexico, Liberia classics, Czech with the 'Posta Ceskoslovenska' o/ps, interesting White Russia, Azerbaijan in quantity, Persian lions, etc. also an interesting range of South America with Bela Sekula's extensively written-up sample book on the Seebecks of Ecuador, Nicaragua and Salvador, as well as Bolivia classic eagles, Costa Rica first issues o/ps,, much classic Venezuela on album pages, etc, etc. This is just the beginning of a holding which has to be viewed to be appreciated, with enormous potential. There is so much that is genuine mixed in throughout requiring work, as well as researching many fascinating items that remain simply unclassified. Essential viewing, particularly for those that love an old-time accumulation that will reward the many hours involved in sorting it out.
An extraordinary diverse range of material housed in about 80+ volumes , with many 1000s of stamps, mint and used,  ,from ,19th ,century through to modern, with no a potential retail running into many tens of thousands of dollars. It is for the most part chaotically presented, needing considerable patience and ,time to see what is here, however it is presented country by country. A dozen volumes completely chosen at random, we have noticed the following: ,1st ,Upper Silesia with the Hradcany complete to 1000he, Palestine with o/ps on the British Mandate, Cyprus to high values QEII, Iceland from the early ore issues through to mid ,20th ,century commens. ,2nd ,with Romania with several hundred stamps all different from the ,19th ,century onwards with some high cataloguing modern, as well as well as non-Scott listed imperfs. The ,3rd ,with the 'sitzende Helvetias' onwards with stehende types to 3fr with different perfs to investigate, a toned 1936 pro patria m/s, mint defins and lots of pro Juventute series, etc in superb condition. The ,4th ,book with Berlin from the first o/ps onwards and lots of complete series in mint blocks of 4, with occasional pages stuffed to capacity to high values. ,5th ,book with Turkey from beat-up Tughras and dozens of star and crescent types, through to mint ,20th ,century &lsquo, views&rsquo, and various coloful commem series. ,6th ,book France, this book with just ,20th ,century mint, semi-postals from the late 1940 to early 1950s. A 7th ,book with Monaco with interesting postague dues and triangulars. An ,8th ,the early part of the France with imperf Ceres and Napoleon heads, followed by at least 4x 80cts Napoleon and 4x 80cts Ceres, as well as lots of 'peace and commerce' types all the way through to the 1940s. A ,9th ,book with Greece, this time with the ,20th ,century section including blocks of 4 (no doubt there will be a book here with Hermes heads onwards through to the 1940s to be discovered). A ,10th ,book with Netherlands with ,19th ,century with William issues, although somewhat sparse up to 1940s until post 1945 where there are some high value defins, various semi-postals and an illustrated 1956 Kinderzegels FDC, etc. The ,11th ,book with Lativa, Montenegro, Bosnia, Ireland with early europa series, etc. The ,12th ,book with Hungary from the Franz Josef series onwards with hundreds of stamps through to modern times. , There is so much here in the other 70+  ,volumes with many easily worth $100++ and very few less than $25 each, with catalog value in some cases running into thousands of dollars each (although everything of course is completely without catalog figures). A most interesting accumulation with huge potential, just noticed extensive General Gouvernement inc registered postal history, Chile from the , 19th ,century colon issues onwards, good Netherlands Indies, lots of further South America inc plenty of impressive classics, Scandinavia, Belgium, Croatia with much interesting 1940s material through to modern early independence, Egypt with zeppelins and other better commems from the 1920s, as well as many sphinx and pyramid defins to high piasters denominations, Japan also from classics onwards, USA inc 1869 2cts, both Columbian and Omahas to 10cts, lots of  ,Washington/Franklin heads different types to $, etc, etc. Portugal substantial from imperfs onwards, similarly with Spain from imperf classics onwards...... time and space does not permit further description save that every book has something going for it. It will delight the worldwide dealer looking for a lot that will break down well for EBay and APS circuit books, etc. A must-sell instruction and a highly recommended lot to put on the list to view, this is a tremendous opportunity for the stamp workaholic looking for a winter project.
One man's Scott International collection, mint and used, housed in two very well-filled albums, impressive right from the get-go with many thousands of stamps all one of a kind, with virtually every part of the globe, from the 19th century onwards. Clearly this was a collector who had an eye for quality as will be seen very quickly. We note useful US back of the book including revenues, as well as good British Commonwealth throughout inc. 1935 Silver Jubilees galore with almost all the sets either mint or superb used. On an 'A-Z' basis we note Azerbaijan high denomination surcharges, Australia good range of kangaroos, Austria replete with classics, Canada with few empty spaces inc. 1928, 1930 and 1935 sets all complete to $1 used, plus Newfoundland, strong China from the 19th century Imperial Posts onwards inc. mint 1909 complete, followed by an interesting range of 1912 o/ps, then 1913/24 harvester and hall of classics to $5 and much more from the 1920s and 1930s commems and defins, also good Hong Kong, India with well over 100 different convention and native states, Czechoslovakia with dozens of 'Posta Ceskoslovenska' o/ps, Russian POs in Crete, strong Egypt starting off with around two dozen different pyramids from early types onwards, France with many classics inc. 80cts rose Ceres superb with red cancel, Greece with imperf Hermes heads all four margined, well-filled Japan from 1876 onwards including the military of 1896 the 1908 and 1924 Jingos to 10y, National Parks etc. Netherlands with better semi-postals, New Zealand with lighthouse officials, etc, etc. In the second album the collection seems to get slightly out of hand alphabetically, probably due to the overstuffing and shuffling of pages between the two albums. This description gives only an outline of this unpicked, uncatalogued and completely original collection. A proper viewing highly recommended to appreciate the great potential here.
A very impressive accumulation housed in 16 volumes with virtually everything in never hinged tip-top quality throughout or superb used with correct cancels. However this group is not at all for the workshy as it is somewhat chaotically presented including some better foreign as well as some superb German States, side by side, needing further research and presentation. We were very impressed with the numeral cancels of Prussia including multiples, well worth researching, with some outstanding examples here where the Michel catalog will be completely irrelevant. Some of the other better German material seen includes Colonies scattered throughout with one small stockbook with excellent postmark interest, strong zusammendrucke including lots of Germanias with full booklet panes never hinged, Hindenburg tete-beche pairs inc. 12pf orange never hinged, a full album page of Wagner se-tenant combinations, later Hindenburg zusammendrucke used on cover, etc. Other Third Reich material seen includes costumes multiples inc. 25pf, 30pf and 40pf mint never hinged strips of three as well as lots of booklet panes and other se-tenant multiples, 1941 semi-postals with 40 sets mint never hinged (&euro,2400 cat., two sets missing the lowest value yet extras of top values), 1943 Wehrmacht semi-postals with 65 complete sets (&euro,1300 cat.), then comprehensive General Gouvernement in pristine condition and other interesting WWII occupations inc. Polish Dachau-Allach sheets with normal and tete-beche 25pf, also plenty of non Scott listed material especially in the Soviet occupations 1945 to 1948 with much in multiple format, Glauchau o/ps on Hitler heads, etc. While it's true that some of the series have to be completed by going from one volume to another and there will of course be some incomplete series here, nevertheless much will come together and make sense when viewed as a whole. Other countries include Transvaal early imperfs, Greece Hermes heads, Netherlands and Luxembourg classics, Austria with better 1920s-30s semi-postals series complete mint never hinged inc. 1923 town views, 1930 Miklas, 1935 personalities, etc, Spain with Goya series complete mint never hinged x3, 1930s souvenir sheets of various countries, particularly Poland, Spanish revolutionary historic monuments m/s with airpost o/p, Swiss pro juventute, etc, also a book mainly of Europa series mint never hinged inc. San Marino sheet. There is also a box of material in process including cigar box, glassines, very old approval books full of classics some in superb condition, penny black noted loose in an approval book, interesting postal history, etc. Though areas of this accumulation will require some work, it is full of potential overall with much that we will have overlooked, please leave time for a thorough viewing.
Granddad's collection in two crusty-dusty albums, housed on several dozen quadrille pages with approaching 3000 stamps, the vast majority, if not all pre-1940 including lots of useful 19th century. All the stamps here have clearly been selected for superb and unusual postmarks making this a totally absorbing collection to view, organised by country from Australia to Wurttemberg and with very little duplication compared with most worldwide postmark collections. Pages at random have the Australian kangaroos some with blue cds cancels, then Austria with thimble cancel of Hartmanitz 25.8.80 and red cds cancels on classics, lots of GB QV cds, interesting Greece from four margined large Hermes heads onwards, Hungary with first series 25kr violet with attractive blue Temesvar cds, Italy with advertising se-tenant labels, Panama maps, Russia with dozens of Tsarist issues, Spanish classics, etc, etc. Time and space do not permit further description, other than to say that is one of the best worldwide postmark collections, of a generation past, that we have had the pleasure to offer. Completely uncataloged, sleepers will certainly be present and a joy to view slowly (ex-Phillips estate).
A very impressive and diverse range of material, housed in 100s of glassine envelopes and occasionally  ,stockcards, nearly filling up 3 boxes housing many 1000s of stamps, often mint. Particular strength is in BC with many good KGV/KGVI to be discovered, inc lots of good stamp intermediate values - for example, we saw Ascension o/p first series 1/2d, 1d, 1 1/2d, , 2d, 3d, 4d and 8d , then Bahamas with a wide range of 'war tax' WW1 o/ps thru to QEII new constitution 10/- mint nh etc, British Bechuanaland inc QV Jubilee o/ps 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d 6d and 1/- green mint,  ,the latter never hinged, EDVII o/ps etc, to give a flavour of what is here, , the BC is consistently good. There are other areas here too with much good early to mid ,20th ,cent, , 'A-Z', crammed with value. Completely uncatalogued with much formed by stripping dozens of collections over 20 years of buying, there is a retail potential here clearly running into tens of thousands of dollars in saleable stuff.  ,Chaotically presented, the first inspection quickly shows that it is a very good  ,holding. While it will require much work, nevertheless this is an exciting lot to cateogorise and will yield excellent results, when processed.
