An important collection exploring the ever-changing boundaries of Carpatho-Ukraine in parallel with impressive postal history. For example with pre-philatelic there are some very ornate scripts accompanied by straight-line postmarks from Unghvar 1831 and 1833, Munkats 1841, Tetso 1845 and Huszt of 1856. This further unfolds with more 19th century, this time with stamps, represented by Hungarian stamps used in Ruthenia, leading onto postal stationery through to the end of WWI including interesting 1919 Czechoslovakian brigade against the Hungarian forces with postage due to be applied. The next section deals with interesting commercial, as well as a few philatelic postal history items with both Czechoslovakia and Hungary used in Carpathia from the allegory types of 1919 through to the 1930s, including fascinating combined Czech and Hungarian mail, etc. Also some postal stationery through to 1942, as well as postcard collateral in both cyrillic and latin alphabets of various regions in Carpathia. Airmails present with flights to Moscow, followed by covers from the end of WWII with some fascinating Hungarian definitives with red concentric circle Czechoslovakian Republic strikes, as well as Hitler head o/ps in the last days with registered letter from Rakovnik with the German 'Rakonitz' crossed out! Lots of other material here for the specialist to enjoy including non Scott listed imperfs, Czech semi-postals, etc. Highly specialised, with many important postal history items here, a joy to view and describe.

The Estonia is excellent with Tartu and Antsla handstamp o/ps on the first issues in quantity, through to extensive triangular airposts, particularly the first issues surcharges with more than 20 of the 1923 surcharge pairs imperf and perf, as well as the monoplanes which will include some genuine imperf mint never hinged complete series to compare with the many different forgery types, each carefully explained.
