387 ng 16L1 image#16L1, Bouton's Post, New York, N.Y., Franklin City Despatch Post, (2c) Black on green glazed surface paper, an incredibly large margined example being probably the largest of the very few known copies that still exist, affixed uncancelled to a small piece, unobtrusive appearing faults including tears and small surface scuffs (faults are endemic to this issue), very fine appearance; some question exists whether John R. Bouton started and produced these stamps or in some way acquired the post but at some point he started endorsing these stamps with "Bouton" along the side, either way they are of the greatest rarity; it is believed that no more than a half dozen examples of the unsigned stamps exist being slightly scarcer than the signed examples; 2013 PF certificate.
