1734   BELGIAN CONGO, 1910-1914 Mining Correspondence. Miner writing back to his mother in Saginaw Mich., letter from first location in Butte, Mont., then a letter in transit from Park Avenue Hotel in New York and Hotel Metropole in Brussels, thirteen letters and covers datelined in "Kenwa" with mostly Stanleyville circular datestamps, letters covering wide range of topics incl. a "few of my letters went down with the Titanic", about life in Belgian Congo incl. hunting elephants, medical supplies and even difficulty in taking photographs of which this lot includes two real photos of natives marching and of three men, covers with faults, Fine, an interesting correspondence of which only a small amount is transcribed
