Phoenix Auctions Sale - 2194

Worldwide On-Line Auction - April 20-21, 2026

Welcome to Phoenix Auctions #2194, being held on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st of April, both days starting at 10am. This will be our 4th Auction for 2026.
  • Session 1 (lots 1-1604) Monday with Australia through to Tasmania.
  • Session 2 (lots 1605-3192) Tuesday with Victoria, WA and Territories and then Rest of World.
As usual there are many variety lots, particularly in the Roos and KGV Sideface issues, of particular note are a 1d red KGV Substituted pair (lot 192) and a 1st wmk 1/4d Very Deep Turquoise (lot 314), as well as many rare FDCs, Coins, Revenues etc. There is a good range of Australian Colonies with a wide range of stamps, postal history and postmarks including a number of very rare NSW CDS.

Rest of World collectors are always well catered for. There are over 800 lots in this section and the General & Single Country sections of the auction, including stamps, Postal History, Stationery, etc, which ensure there is plenty to choose from. Of particular interest is a very desirable selection of German New Guinea covers (lots 2329-2333) followed by some useful NWPI lots (lots 2334-2354) We have another small range of modern Ceylon/Sri Lanka varieties (lots 2601-2612), these Ceylon offerings continue to be very popular.. The wide variety of lots from many countries, including stamps, Postal History, Stationery, etc, which ensure there is plenty to choose from.

Notes:

  • Most collection & accumulation type lots have a reserve of 50% of the estimate.
  • The buyer's commission is just 22%.
  • New bidders need to be aware that, while there is no room bidding for these auctions, viewing, phone bidding and live internet bidding are still available. Lastly, live bidding will skip over lots without any form of bid, so please enter some sort of bid, even if it is just $1, to ensure that these lots appear during live bidding.
