Slugs: 'NOT IN USE' slugs for ½d, 1d and 2d machines acquired by our vendor from Hudson's Hardware Store, a staple of Melbourne's industrial retail history, which operated from the 1920s to the 1980s in a prominent 1876 building on the

All States in bulging 30 page Lighthouse album in mixed condition including
some foxing, with many issues in easily dislodged loose compacted bundles of varying numbers, many of which are already in complete disarray. The accumulation lacks key items and the not inconsiderable pen-cancelled fiscal content is intermixed with
the postal usages. Outside of the huge quantity and mixed quality, odd noteworthy including NSW 1854-59 8d dull yellow-orange imperf SG #98 cat £1,500 space-filler with no margins and a poor cancel, plus
reasonably used 1854 1/- brownish-red SG #101, 1886 5/- reddish-purple medallion SG #180 and 1860 6d violet SG #148 on 1861 entire,
Goulburn to Ireland; Qld. All of the 2/- to £1 Chalons are fiscally used; Tasmania 1892-99 QV tablets to 5/-, duplicated Views to 6d and all of the Platypus postal fiscals are pen cancelled; Victoria the 1900 Boer War set SG
#474-5 is defective, toned MNG, with the 2d (2/-) also torn. Careful viewing is needed as most value is in the quantity. (1,000s) (Image 1)
