51263   imageIndependant Post Office Period. 1785 (November 16th) Folded entire from Dublin to Armagh with favour frank "Free M. Longfield", and dated inside "Dublin Novr. 16 1785" and "Novr. 15", the date of the frank altered in another hand to "16", intercepted by the Free Office who endorsed in black "date altered" and straight line "TREBLE POSTAGE" in red was applied, rated 1/- treble and initialled by the inspector, an important and extremely rare postal history rarity (DF No. 236).
