Sterling Stamps presents a Singles, Sets, Collections Auction on Saturday, September 12th, 2026 at 10am EST, with pre-auction bidding ending Saturday morning at 6am (EST).

Please note we go live online at 10am on both Stamp Auction Network and our website https://auctions.sterlingstamps.com.

This auction offers US and Canadian currency, US singles, US and foreign general and country collections, accumulations, new issues, literature, and more. We are still offering appealing start bids and a competitive buyer’s premium (15%) and never overcharge for shipping!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Our auction starts with several pieces of US and Canadian currency, followed by a selection of US stamps featuring a beautiful Scott 315 MH pair (Lot 31) and Scott 467 double error full sheet in MNH (Lot 34) and excellent condition. Also of note are the many lots of tax paids, marijuana, tobacco and other revenues that follow.
  • Lots 125-141 offer several Michigan postal history groups sorted by counties in geographic areas of Michigan, and identified by Hiscock DPO info (date PO opened and rarity rating).
  • The foreign section is highlighted by several better Canada singles (many with certificates) including the Bluenose "Man on the Mast" variety. We broke down a specialized collection of the France 10 centime Sower issue with singles, proofs, essays, booklets, paper and printing varieties, overprints, etc. You'll also spot the singles, sets, and many country collections, including the finale of the Cornwell estate, and 30 lots of new issues from 2000-2015 that are still in original packaging from the new issue source.
  • Under topicals, we offer the beginning of Woody Brooks' scout topical collection/accumulation featuring the Cape of Good Hope Mafekings, the Thailand overprints, and much more Scout topical stamps, covers, and ephemera throughout the auction. Note the Dorothy Knapp first day covers! We have also acquired and offer several "Bear" topicals in stamps, covers, postcards, and much more.
  • At the end of the auction, there just may be some literature that may help your philatelic library and some decent like-new and useful supply lots.
