1937 Coronation 2d 3d 5d & 1/- complete sheets of 30 (5x6) with John Ash imprint at lower-right, the 2d & 5d with One Plate Dot below the imprint and the 3d with Two Plate Dots, mounted in blue presentation folder with 'Special Issue of New Guinea Postage Stamps ... Commemorating the Coronation ...' title page, each sheet apparently stuck-down at the corners in the margins only (the 3d with perf separation at the lower-left corner) and presumably otherwise unmounted, a few areas of very light tropicalisation visible otherwise very fine.

1947 Ball Bay 1d bright violet marginal vertical pair from the left of the sheet with both units Imperforate at Left between Stamp & Margin, the perforations at right misplaced so that tiny portions of the adjoining units are visible, two light diagonal pre-printing paper creases, no gum (as is the case with all bar one of the other examples we have seen). Stephen Bradford's single (no gum) sold for $4032. Ed Garrard's single (with gum; lightly mounted) sold for $4140.

1966 Decimal Surcharges '10c' on 10d Salt House strip of 4 with '10c' Surcharge Grossly Misplaced 5mm to Left resulting in more than half of each of the overprints being printed on the adjoining units, unmounted & very fine. The silver square overprint obliterating the original value has been printed in the correct position. Stephen Bradford's similar marginal strip of 4 sold for $952.

1905 (Nov 13) usage of Solomon Islands Melanesian Mission PPC ('Curios'; natives in western dress), to England with social message & NSW 1d Arms tied by very worn 'NORFOLK ISLAND' Colonial-type cds (blank at base), taxed at Sydney with 'NSW/T/10' shield cachet and also on arrival with British '2D/IS/B' handstamp, minor bumped corners & transmission marks. The 1d postcard rate was extended to Great Britain from 1.6.1905, but the maximum allowable message was 5 words (and it should have been written on the view side), so this item was properly treated as a letter and taxed for the 1d underpayment. Very early taxed mail from the island. Ex Stephen Bradford; sold for $560.

1916 local real photo PPC ('POTTS FARM') to Victoria with message headed "25.4.16 Norfolk Island" & KGV 1d red tied by an unusually fine strike of the 'NORFOLK ISLAND/AUSTRALIA' cds. The National Library of Australia has a circa 1890 glass negative by Charles Kerry of Potts Farm, since divided into multiple properties along Potts Farm Road.
