747 PSE imageWEBSTER, AG & SON: ½d bright orange with imprinted 'CIRCULAR ONLY' in red at upper-left SO3.8 (rated RR; unrecorded unused), local unsealed usage with '20 COPIES POSTED' handstamp in blue, a bit knocked-about & with a repaired 50mm tear at upper-left still quite attractive. Stated to be the only recorded example. This is a significant postal history item, being the only recorded usage of the short-lived Printed Matter ½d rate for town delivery. Illustrated at page 72.

752 PSE imageWEBSTER, AG & SON: 2d blue-green with multi-coloured chromo-litho illustrations of a Farmer using his Planet Jr hand-held tiller on the face & three 'teams' hard at-it on the reverse SO7.7 (rated RR; unrecorded unused), to Launceston with Hobart continuous-machine cancel of 14.12.09 and arrival backstamp of the next day. Only a handful of multi-coloured illustrated advertising envelopes are known from Australia & the Colonies. Beautiful and superb. Illustrated on page 81.

753 PSE imageWEBSTER, AG & SON: 2d pale emerald for MCormick Farm Machinery with Webster's imprint on the flap, three vignette illustrations of horse-drawn machines on the face and 'PLOWING WITH AN IHC GASOLENE/ TRACTION ENGINE' on the reverse SO7.8 (rated RR; unrecorded unused), light soiling & the flap with faults, poor 'RANELAGH JUNCTION' arrival backstamp. Very attractive and much scarcer than the 'Planet Jr' envelope. The American spelling on both sides indicates that the embossing and imprint were applied to American blanks. Illustrated on page 81. [With the enclosed invoice for half-cases of fruit]

Most wrappers originated at Hobart, where the vast majority were cancelled with 'HOBART'-in-Bars. Dated examples are therefore very scarce.
