Cover 3 Kreuzer rose, with additional franking 1868, 1 Kreuzer green, 4 single values glued as strips, with franking mark "CARLSRUHE STADTPOST 26 APR" to Mainz. Inconspicuous horizontal fold through the postage paid and tear into the postmark due to improper opening. A scarce and quite attractive combination.

Umschlag 3 Kreuzer rosa, mit Zufrankatur 1868, 1 Kreuzer grün, 4 Einzelwerte als Streifen geklebt, mit EKr. "CARLSRUHE STADTPOST 26 APR" nach Mainz. Unauffällige waagerechte Faltung durch die Frankatur und durch unsachgemäße Öffnung Einriss bis in den Wertstempel. Eine seltene und durchaus attraktive Kombination.

"CARLSRUHE 4NOV." (1871) nach Florenz mit Ankunftsstempel. Die Frankatur ist tadellos, der Umschlag gereinigt, der Name des Adressaten nachgemalt und ein Einriss in der Verschlussklappe repariert. 1851, first issue 3 cross black on orange-yellow, fresh colours and imperforated with full to large margins with red number "153" and adjacent red first day cancel "WALDSHUT 1 MAY 51" on folded cover to Stühlingen. The right bottom corner of the stamp was originally not fully adhered and shows traces of compression due to transport, otherwise fine condition (older paper adhesive strip on reverse). Even after detailed examination, no tampering with the cancellation can be detected, nevertheless we are selling the piece 'telle quelle'. 1851, Erstauflage 3 Kreuzer schwarz auf orangegelb, farbfrisch und voll- bis breitrandig geschnitten mit roter Nummer "153" und nebengesetztem roten Ersttagsstempel "WALDSHUT 1. MAI 51" auf Faltbrief nach Stühlingen. Die rechte untere Ecke der Marke war ursprünglich nicht vollständig haftend und weist beförderungsbedingte Stauchungsspuren aus, ansonsten tadellose Erhaltung (rückseitig älterer Papierklebestreifen). Auch nach eingehender Untersuchung sind keinerlei Manipulationen am Stempel festzustellen, nichtsdestotrotz verkaufen wir das Stück 'telle quelle'.
