CONSTANTINOPEL 7 4 75" on envelope with routing mark via waren nah to Freiburg im Breisgau with arrival postmark. The envelope on face small stainspot outside the postage paid, otherwise in well used condition. Single frankings of this stamp (postage stamp) were only possible from 1 January to 30 June 1875, to show the old 2½ groschen postage via Varna. An exceptionally scarce letter; we have registered only 3 other single frankings of this stamp (postage stamp) from Constantinople. Certificate Jäschke-L. BPP (2023)

Here acceptance was refused and returned with the note "The parcel has come from the hands of the postal and tax administration". Reverse arrival datestamp of Constantinople as well as transit and tax cds. of Dresden. Usual slightly traces of transport. An unusual piece.

2 Mark mit EKr. "CONSTANTINOPEL 1* 3 2 94" als (amtliche?) Rücksendefrankatur auf Paketkarte mit vier Stück Krone/Adler 50 Pfg., von "HANNOVER 12.1.94" nach Konstantinopel. Hier wurde die Annahme verweigert und mit Vermerk "Das Paket ist aus den Händen der Post und Steuerverwaltung gekommen" zurückgesandt. Rückseitig Ankunftsstempel von Konstantinopel sowie Transit- und Steuerstempel von Dresden. Übliche leichte Beförderungsspuren. Ein ungewöhnliches Stück.

CONSTANTINOPEL 29 4 78" (with circle) on sealed linen envelope with reverse patent seal of the German Embassy, to Leipzig-Plagwitz, with arrival and issue stamps. An attractive and scarce cover in otherwise fine condition; we have registered only 3 wide postal money orders with this postage paid.

"KAISERL.DEUTSCH.P.A.CONSTANTINOPEL  4/10 81"auf 'Internationaler Post-Anweisung' über 22 Mark nach Mülhausen im Elsass, mit rückseitigem Eingangsstempel und Auszahlungsbestätigung. 2 unbedeutende kurze Zähne und übliche geringe Beförderungsspuren. Ein schöner und seltener Beleg in sonst tadelloser Erhaltung; wir haben nur 3 weitere Postanweisungen mit dieser Frankatur registriert.

5 Pfennig purple, with single circle cancellation "KAISERL.DEUTSCH.P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 21/6 83", as scarce single franking on printed matter envelope, to Schweinfurt, with arrival postmark. One tooth minimally toned or tinted, otherwise very attractive condition.

5 Pfennig violett, mit Einkreisstempel "KAISERL.DEUTSCH.P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 21/6 83", als sehr seltene Einzelfrankatur auf Drucksachen-Hülle, nach Schweinfurt, mit Ankunftsstempel. Ein Zähnchen minimal getönt, sonst sehr schöne Erhaltung.

Including NV 14, NV 16 and 17 with cancellation "KDPA" on letter, very attractive breast plate part with V 2b, some colour frankings on pieces and letters, single franking V 21 a, V 37 on parcel card, etc., some pieces with old signatures, 3 certificates and 4 certificates Jäschke-L. The fresh colours of the stamps are very well embossed, well perforated and in perfect condition, a not frequent, attractive and rate-appropriate postage paid according to the rate valid for only 6 months until 30.6.1872

Constantinople forerunner - registered covers via Odessa (Russia): 1872, 5 Groschen ochre-brown with clear "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 7.5.74" on registered envelope up to 15 g with routing mark "via Odessa" and handstamp "Recomandirt" to Leipzig with reverse arrival datestamp. The stamp (postage stamp) is fresh colours, well embossed, with demand perforation and in faultless condition, the envelope with the usual traces of transport and opening in good overall condition. So far only a few registered covers from Constantinople are known, to the German Empire so far unique single franking with routing via Odessa and great breast plate and forerunner scarcity, certificate Jäschke-L. BPP (2009). Mail from Constantinople could only be forwarded via Odessa (Russia) from 1 November 1873. For the letter of the 1st weight category 5 groschen were due (3 groschen letter fee and 2 groschen registered covers fee)

Constantinopel-Vorläufer - R-Brief via Odessa (Russland): 1872, 5 Groschen ockerbraun mit klarem EKr. "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 7.5.74" auf eingeschriebenem Briefkuvert bis 15 g mit Leitvermerk "via Odessa" und Handstempel "Recomandirt" nach Leipzig mit rückseitigem Hufeisen-Ankunftsstempel. Die Marke ist farbfrisch, gut geprägt, mit Bedarfszähnung und in fehlerfreier Erhaltung, der Umschlag mit üblichen Beförderungs- und Öffnungsspuren in guter Gesamterhaltung. Bisher sind insgesamt nur wenige eingeschriebene Briefe aus Konstantinopel bekannt, ins Deutsche Reich bislang einmalige Einzelfrankatur mit Leitweg via Odessa und große Brustschild- sowie Vorläufer-Seltenheit, Fotoattest Jäschke-L. BPP (2009). Post aus Konstantinopel konnte erst ab 1.11.1873 über Odessa (Russland) befördert werden. Für den Brief der 1. Gewichtsstufe wurden 5 Groschen fällig (3 Groschen Briefgebühr und 2 Groschen R-Gebühr)
